On Saturday December 13th, 2014 the Casa Sana team; Belen Paredes, Astrid Jimenez, Alex Zegarra, Lilian Paredes, Pilar Correa, Jessica Coronado, Leo Cortez, Julio Coronado and Rosario Zegarra went to the village of Cura Mori to give the children of the village a Christmas Celebration.

The celebration started with the Spanish version of the movie “How the Grinch stole Christmas.” The children were ages 3 to 5 years old, and all 117 of them received a goodie bag, a wooden puzzle, a balloon and red nose!

The goodie bags were a success, they liked the candies! Of course they didn’t eat them all, because they take some stuff back home to share. Most of them ate the chizitos and drank the juice box, but kept the fruitcake and the chocolate for home. How sweet!

The children started to laugh when they saw the Casa Sana team dressing up with silly hats and colorful noses.

They enjoyed receiving some red noses for themselves and singing the Spanish version or “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer”, but to the team’s surprise, the children were extremely excited when they started to sing “El Burrito Sabanero”. They were not only singing, but screaming it.

It was a good time had by all involved! A big Thank You goes out to the Casa Sana kids for continuing to give back to those less fortunate.
